Chapter 1 - The History of Coffee and How It’s Produced
Covers the origins of coffee in Ethiopia, its spread through Yemen and Europe, and how it became a global cultural staple. Explains cultivation, harvesting, and processing methods that shape flavour and aroma.
Chapter 2 - Coffee Beans
Introduces Arabica and Robusta beans, detailing their flavour profiles, caffeine content, growing conditions, and how these factors influence the taste and quality of the final brew.
Chapter 3 - How Coffee Is Produced
Explains the step-by-step process from cultivation to roasting, including dry, wet, and honey processing. Highlights how environmental factors and processing methods determine bean characteristics.
Chapter 4 - Beverages That Can Be Created Using Coffee
Covers classic espresso-based drinks like cappuccino, latte, and Americano, as well as manual brews such as French press and cold brew. Includes milk steaming and texturing techniques for professional presentation.
Chapter 5 - Proper Operation and Maintenance of Coffee Machines and Grinders
Teaches how to calibrate, operate, and maintain espresso machines and grinders for consistency. Covers cleaning routines, descaling, and bean freshness management to ensure quality and longevity.
